The procedure of therapy using Disport:

Botulinum toxin type A is used as an active substance in this product. It blocks nerve impulses to achieve muscle spasms relieve. This toxin is not harmful to your body as a very small amount of it is used. Along with it, this amount is enough to achieve the desired effect.

The treatment procedure involves subcutaneous injections at definite face areas which require correction. For this product it is typical that it has a local effect only on those muscles in which it has been injected.

Hyperkinetic muscles producing mimic wrinkles are located at the forehead. The product is injected at the area of the greatest tension. A doctor determines a number of injection points. All points must be located along a straight line at the distance of at least 2 cm from the brow line or in a V-shaped pattern.

Minor wrinkles at the outer eye corners (“crow’s feet”) are corrected by injections made at definite points. Disport is injected at the distance of 1 cm from the outer eye corner. Wrinkles on nasal bridge are removed by injecting the product into the nose muscles.

It is not advised to use Disport in the cases as follows:

• During pregnancy.
• Individual’s intolerance to the product components.
• Chronic pathologies in the exacerbation stage.
• Myasthenia gravis.
• Difficulty swallowing.
• Breath function disorders.

It is recommended to avoid using Disport during treatment involving aminoglycoside group of antibiotics.

Procedure duration: One procedure takes 20 minutes. It is recommended to undergo one injection procedure every 6 months.

Result of Disport injection procedure:

Effect of Disport is not immediate, it occurs in 2 to 3 months. It lasts up to 6 months and then the procedure should be repeated. When the procedure is repeated the product dosage is reduced by half.
