Course of lymphatic drainage therapy
At our clinic this procedure is performed using a special suit worn by a patient. This suit consists of two big inflatable leggings, arm sleeves and abdominal belts. Then a patient lies on a therapy bed. Compressed air is supplied via special valves in the arm sleeves while the inflation pressure is controlled by a preset program.
Such pressure fluctuations create a specific air wave that exerts a physical effect on a patient’s skin, muscles, blood and lymphatic vessels, subcutaneous fat tissue. Such impact plays a role of deep massage of a patient’s whole body and physiological tissue drainage which immediately activate the metabolic processes. Along with the improvement of blood and lymph flow the removal of toxins and waste is initiated, excess and stagnant fluid is discharged, muscles and tissues are saturated with oxygen, homeostasis is restored, muscle tension is relieved, functioning of the internal organs is enhanced.
Average intervals of suit compression and decompression last from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Our specialists recommend combining lymphatic drainage therapy sessions with other cosmetic procedures such as hirudotherapy, ultrasound, electrostimulation.
Before prescribing the lymphatic drainage therapy a cosmetologist holds a consultation in order to identify possible contraindications.
Procedure duration: A lymphatic drainage therapy session takes 20 to 45 minutes. The duration of the procedure and impact program will be determined by a doctor depending on the set goal and individual features of a patient. It is recommended to take a course of 10 to 15 sessions with an interval of 2-3 days. The course can be repeated in a half year.
